Survey CAD Technician

Our client is a industry leader in Survey and Subsurface Utility Engineering industry. They are seeking an experienced Survey CAD Technician. In this position the applicant would support the survey operations located in the Ft. Myers office. This person will be creating point files for the survey field crews to lay out construction sites. They will also be processing field data i.e. topography, DTM, drainage, utilities, RTK GPS, static GPS and digital level data. They will also be required to aide in the preparation of right of way maps, legal descriptions and sketches.

Qualifications:

-Minimum 4 years of CAD drafting for surveying OR a 4 year degree in Surveying and Mapping
-Must be proficient in Autocad Civil 3D
-Must be capable of creating point files for construction surveys.
-Prefer candidates with field surveying experience and the ability to work in the field when needed.
-Capable of working with state plane coordinate systems, plats, right of way maps and utility plans.
-Experience with Laser scanning and 3D plans, animation, etc. is a plus.
-Experience with DTMs/machine control modeling is a plus.
-Proficient in MS Office Suite applications; Word, Outlook and Excel.
-Must have good mathematical skills.
-Must have good communication and organizational skills.
-Must be dependable.
-Must have the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
