Warehouse Person I - Full-time / Part-time

Warehouse Person II- Bothell

We are hiring for an experienced warehouse person in Bothell. Must have over 2 years minimum of experience in inventory, shipping and receiving, cycle counts, or material handling.

Under limited supervision is responsible to perform all warehouse tasks including stockroom, shipping, receiving and cycle count. Responsible for material movement and associated computer transactions. Responsible for inventory accuracy through cycle count activity as well as research and reconciliation.

Receiving

Receive and visually inspect packages for damage and sign for deliveries from customers and vendors, i.e. UPS, FED-X, DHL, and others.

Uncrate or unpack cartons, remove and recycle material in proper locations.

Verify count against purchase order as required and perform Oracle receiving transactions.

Maintain the Trouble Shelf and the Trouble Shelf Aging Report. Provide the report regularly to Procurement to and resolve discrepancies.

Scan, copy or file historical documents as required.

Deliver non-stock material to requestors or notify requestor that material is ready for pick up.

Research and resolve Goods in Transit and Inter-org discrepancies.

Shipping

Ship sales orders, internally generated manual shipment requests and transfer orders per specified shipping instructions. Perform corresponding transactions using freight carrier software (FEDEX, UPS, DHL, etc) as well as Oracle and other export software.

Pack material for shipment per ATA 300 specifications.

Arrange for product pick up in accordance with shipping instructions.

Monitor and order all packing supplies as required, remain up-to-date on current ISPM wood requirements, USDA wood requirements, and specific customer/country requirements. Remain current on green packaging product and the cost/safety issues involved with all packaging materials.

Train and certify others in the use of equipment, product handling and documentation requirements for in/out bound product when applicable.

Document and handle clearance logistics for Hand Carried equipment.

Select best freight method for critical shipments, execute shipment and communicate delivery information to internal customers.

Stockroom

Perform physical inventory and/or cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Using Oracle historical data research discrepancies for root cause and prepare inventory variance explanation for Finance.

Stock incoming material into appropriate locations and complete delivery transaction in Oracle. Identify manufacturing kit shortages, transact in Oracle and deliver to appropriate kit.

Pick customer sales orders, internal transfer orders, inventory requisitions and perform all associated Oracle transactions.

Prepare kitting packages for assembly production and perform associated Oracle transactions.

Communicate with all internal departments and personnel via e-mail or phone to provide status of material movement activity especially regarding critical or AOG situations.

Understand the daily work schedule and delivery requirements and perform work to achieve on time delivery.

Operate manual and powered material handling equipment.

Responsible for monthly stock assessment and 6S organization.

Requirements

High school education or AA degree in Electronics, or an equivalent combination of technical education, training and experience.

3 years material handling/warehouse experience or 2 years Avionics Quality Control or Inspection experience.

Ability and willingness to work daily and weekend overtime as required.

Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb stairs with reasonable accomodations.

Proficient in all warehouse functions and can seamlessly move between jobs as needed.

Familiarity with FAA regulations, AS9001, ISO14000 and 6S requirements.

Ability to work numerous detailed projects under sometimes stressful timetables.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Extremely well organized, with the ability to track multiple activities involving numerous details.

Outstanding problem solving skills and good judgment in dealing with competing priorities, limited resources and time pressures.

Determines best methods and procedures on new assignments. May be an informal project team leader.

Ability to effectively and professionally interact with various departments, diverse personalities, various levels of management and peers.

Leads by example. Needs minimal supervision or direction.

Knowledgeable with international shipping and INCO terms.

Ability to operate a computer and utilize MS office suite of software applications i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook.

Proficiency using Oracle, Clear Orbit and Spex.

Ability to perform 10 key punch desirable.

Familiar with scanning systems.

Proficient using various shipping software, i.e. DHL, Fed-ex, UPS, etc.

Knowledge of Haz-Mat materials and transit procedures, MSDS.

Strong knowledge of use and safety procedures for various hand tools.

Possess solid reading, writing and mathematical skills. Ability to use a calculator.

Understanding of production and shipping schedules, OTD goals and departmental goals.

Understanding of ATA specification number 300.
