Controls Engineer

Aerotek Engineering is hiring for a Controls Engineer with a manufacturing company in the Northeast Indiana area.

This candidate will be responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as troubleshooting PLC's. This role will have a strong emphasis on new preventative maintenance procedures 70% being mechanical, and 30% being electrical/PLC related projects for new equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for continuous preventive maintenance support

- Responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance, and troubleshooting PLC's.

- Responsible for working with electrical control equipment, electrical circuitry and components according to engineering specifications

- Ability to learn and work on a wide range of equipment, in addition to PLC platforms.

Qualifications:

- 1-3 years Allen Bradley experience

- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics

- Ability to prevent diagnosis and solve mechanical equipment issues

- Ability to diagnose PLC issues and capable of learning advancing skill sets

- Strong Communication and computer skills

- Flexibility to provide off-shift support
