The Manager, Application Delivery and Operations reports to the Director of Systems Engineering. Under broad guidance this posotion will supervise of a team of Citrix and Web Engineers and will be responsible for driving future solutions for the design, implementation and support of AutoNations Citirx, Web (IIS), SharePoint, load balancers and scheduling systems . This position will also have operational responsibility for the systems listed. The position will work with other internal organizations to develop strategies to support current and future business requirements. This position manages a team of company employees, numerous vendor/partner resources and operates under some supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Application Delivery and Operations team with regards to design, implementation and support of all Citrix, Web, SharePoint and Schedulers for the enterprise on a daily basis
  • Lead the production support efforts by ensuring that incidents are resolved to meet service level agreements and serving as an escalation point
  • Ensure the platforms meet AutoNation security standards while partnering with the security team to proactively identify and mitigate security risks
  • Establish benchmarks for uptime, availability, and other quality metrics. Develops and monitors system performance reports with continous improvement targets toward Service Level Agreements
  • Ensure the platforms are maintained with vendor-supported versions of hardware and software and are refreshed to support current and future business requirements
  • Identify and making recommendations regarding new technologies, tools and technique that would benefit the company and support the business strategy
  • Ensure projects are being completed on time and within budget
  • Lead efforts to research new technologies and identify replacement strategies for existing systems while working in conjunction with IT Architects
  • Manage strategic third party and vendor partner relationships
  • Develop, coach and mentor staff
  • Identify developmental requirements for the staff and create the corresponding development/training programs
  • Facilitate project/vendor workshops and meetings
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of IT Management experience
  • Experience leading an application delivery team within a large multisite enterprise
  • In depth knowledge of Citrix 4.5, XenApp 6.x and XenApp 7.x
  • Knowledge of Citrix Edge Site, Provisioning Manager and NetScaler a plus
  • Experience with the following platforms:

    • a. IIS6, IIS7 Web Application Farms

    • b. ASP.NET., WCF Services, XML, SOAP, Com+

    • c. Development Life Cycle Management systems, (ex. Team Foundation System, Visual SourceSafe)

    • d. MSMQ

    • e. SMTP

    • f. SharePoint 2010, 2013 6.

  • Working knowledge or experience with SCCM, SCOM and SCSM
  • Knowledge of Hyperion, PeopleSoft, Essbase, and Orchestrator a plus
  • In depth knowledge in process engineering and automation
  • Understanding of network topologies
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; ability to work simultaneously in multiple projects
  • Proven ability to develop, plan, and coordinates resources to achieve operational objectives
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop staff
  • Familiar in the areas of project and budget management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong familiarity with ITIL practices
  • Expertise in operational report preparation
  • Technical knowledge of monitoring tools, metrics and SLA's
  • Can work independently with minimum direction on the most complex tasks
  • Must meet company’s requirements for employment
  • Expertise in scheduling operational staff in sustainable shifts/rotations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field of study (Preferred)
