A successful Junior Project Manger will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Project Management, Engineering, Business or Marketing
- Business, analytical, communications, and/or marketing experience a plus.
- Experience in MS Office Suite and Microsoft Project (especially in PowerPoint and Excel) preferred
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate and interact cross-functionally with multiple levels of management
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive and flexible
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines with frequent interruptions and redefined priorities
- Self starter with ability to be strong team player and work independently
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
- Working closely with business partners to complete projects in a high quality manner, on-time, on-budget and on-scope.
- Manage small to medium size projects
- Monitor the progress of identified project milestones and deliverables
- Act as liaison between the departments and teams for projects
- Serve as the central point of intake for project requests
- Develop project plans according to available resources and business needs
- Supports the project by performing planning, analysis, coordination, and reporting activities to keep projects on schedule
- Ensure timeline is reported consistently and accurately.
- Ensure the project is properly staffed
- Maintain documentation of project and program-level risks and issues, including ensuring impact analyses and mitigation/resolution plans are captured
- Maintain the project schedule and conduct analysis on slipped tasks, upcoming milestones, and dependencies. Research variances and report on or escalate findings
- Assist with tracking inter-project and task dependencies and report on impact to schedules at the project and program level
