Estimator

Aerotek is hiring an Estimator who will be responsible for overall project estimates and budget development for commercial construction of SOLAR project(s). S/he may oversee multiple estimates and budgets simultaneously, each at varying sizes and stages.
-Perform detail site visit for constructability approach
-Develop overall project budgets and estimates
-Develop proposal scope of work, milestone schedule, and overall project approach
-Assist and support Business Development team with proposal and presentation preparations
-Attend interviews as required to close new business.
-Assist with project buyout and contract negotiations
-Develop and manage historical cost data for tracking market tread and margins.
-Develop and manage vendor pricing sheets for major materials
-Develop Subcontractor and supplier network and outreach program
-Pre-qualify subcontractors and vendors, including but not limited to, checking references and work experience.
-Assist Project Manager with developing bid packages for subcontractors and vendors
-Assist Project Manager with analyses of bids to ensure complete and accurate quotes for scopes of work.

Applicants must have:

5 Years of Electrical Experience, electrical estimating is a plus
5+ years of estimating experience for commercial construction projects

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, OR 7 years of experience in commercial electrical estimating.
Strong working knowledge of Timberline Estimating, US Means Estimating, MS programs including strong MS Excel background
