Job Description: * Support automotive engineers through the testing of prototype designs
* Utilize oscopes, automotive bus analyzers, diagnostic equipment, and gas analysis equipment to ensure the quality of Bosch (SPX) products
* Utilize knowledge of vehicle mechanical fundamentals in order to validate designs
* Research and apply new technologies to improve the design process
* Access and research new information from the web as well as information related to service instructions and manuals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE
Required
*Two year associates degree in automotive technology or equivalent training/experience
*Knowledge of fundamental automotive technologies
* Knowledge of basic vehicle systems including: on-board controls, engine performance, transmission, ABS, and SIR modules
Preferred
* Minimum of 2 years previous experience
* ASE, IATN, or SAE certifications or affiliations
SKILLS
* Skilled in the usage of automotive test equipment including lifts, hand, power, and air tools]
* PC application skills including Access, shop management skills (I-shop)
* PC configuration and installation skills
* Schematic reading skills
ABILITIES
* Ability to effectively use general test equipment including oscopes and bus analyzers as well as specialized tools such as: diagnostic equipment, and gas analysis equipment
* Ability to follow and understand detailed test procedures
* Demonstrated ability of being a self-starter
* Ability to read flow charts including process maps, test plans, and flows
* Ability to navigate the internet for research purposes
* Ability to work independently and with a team
Work Environment: Testing Shop Automotive (Dealerships) Qualifications: * Two year associates degree in automotive technology or equivalent training/experience
