Environmental Health & Safety Manager

Client is looking for an experienced safety and environmental professional to join our team to maintain our safety, health and environmental programs and coordinate compliance efforts. This individual will have responsibility for supporting, developing and improving safety processes and injury reduction as well as ensuring environmental compliance efforts within the company. Will be involved in audits, inspections, training, accident investigations, root cause analyses and corrective action. Will advise the President, Safety Manager and Plant Manager on safety and environmental regulations.

Specific duties will involve, but not be limited to:

- Implement and maintain company policy adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Ensure that necessary records are maintained and prepared according to guidelines.
- Keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
- Serves as the contact for all federal, state and local regulatory bodies, and participates in OSHA inspections, providing inspectors with appropriate documents and required information.
- Responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions and coordinate corrective action.
- Coordinate accident investigations and incident root cause analyses.
- Train employees on safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and regulations.

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in the field preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Familiar with standard safety, health and environmental concepts, practices and procedures
