SEEKING MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELORS TO SERVE OUR CHILDREN/YOUTH PROGRAMS

Community Helps Network, an established, successful, and growing company specializing in community based services, is recruiting for QMHPs and QMHP-Eligible to provide Intensive In-Home Services to children and adolescents in the Danville/Martinsville and surrounding areas in Virginia.Individuals in program have a psychiatric diagnosis and mental health challenges.

Position Summary: Full-time & Part-Time Positions Available-Open Until Filled

The QMHP is responsible for the provision of direct service care to clients and provides support and counseling to assist them in the home to stabilize and reach their optimal level of functioning. QMHPs are responsible for all client-related direct service documentation and reports, as well as the development of the Individual Service Plans. The QMHP facilitates skill building to assist client with decreasing their maladaptive behaviors, provides support to stabilize mental health issues, links to ancillary community services and advocates for client needs. The QMHP allots 95% of time to direct care and provides documentation to demonstrate delivered services to clients/families.QMHPs participate in weekly supervision/training to improve and enhance skill level. Position reports to the Clinical Supervisor. Services are delivered in the home and community settings.

Qualifications Required:

Qualified Mental Health Professionals-Child (QMHP-C)
 Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human service field with at least one
year of clinical experience working with children/adolescents;
 Social Work Bachelor's or Master's degree with a least one year of clinical experience workingwith children/adolescents;
 Master's degree in psychology with at least one year of clinical experience working with children/ adolescents;
 Registered nurse with at least one year of clinical experience working with children/adolescents
 Bachelor's degree in a human service field or special education with one year of clinical experience working with children/adolescents.
OR

Qualified Mental Health Professional-Eligible (QMHP-E)
 Bachelor's degree in a human service field or special education without one year of clinical experience.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
* Ensures therapeutic interventions are implemented with clients
* Participates in weekly supervision
* Completes documentation that meets agency standards
* Maintains confidentiality
* Collaborates effectively with team members
* Reports relevant information to supervisory staff
* Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge and counseling skills, including family and individual family and individual sessions
* Understanding of Case Management principles
* Ability to implement Individual Service Plans
* Insight into therapeutic activities and proficiency in implementing strategies
* Excellent communication skills
* Effective writing and documentation skills
* Knowledge of community resources and familiarity with the geographical area
* Proficiency with computer skills [must be computer literate]
* Demonstrates organizational and time management skills
* Certification in First Aid, CPR, and behavior management course(s)
Compensation: Range: $16-20/hour- Hourly rate is commensurate with demonstrated education and experience as it relates to the position.
