Description

Principal Duties:

·Provide direct care support, behavior management, crisis intervention and/or other service support in a structured individual and group setting

·Implementation of schedules

·Support individual in following expected routines

·Support individual in social interactions with peers, staff and community members

·Support individual with community integration activities

·Document goals and support

·Collaborates with a team for planning and implementation of residential and behavioral interventions

Additional duties:

·Participate in daily/weekly program meetings

·Participate in Annual POC and/or other individual meetings

·Participates in staff development and professional growth activities

·Maintains proper training to meet requirements of the program

·Performs other duties as assigned

Rate of Pay:

$13.00 an hour

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Valid Driver’s license, good driving record & reliable transportation
  • Autism experienced preferred
  • Behavioral intervention experience preferred

Skills and abilities required:

· Enjoy working with people, ability to work effectively 1:1, flexibility, effective communication, ability to coordinate multiple tasks, handle challenging situations confidently, convey a positive and professional image, provide crisis intervention support and the ability to work well with others and independently
