Inventory Control Specialist

Volkswagen is hiring an Inventory Specialist for their distribution center in Lenoir City. Candidates must have 5 years of recent, stable work history within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

These candidates will be responsible for the following:
* Planning, executing and documenting product audits for inbound and outbound material on a regular basis to meet VWAG Group requirements
o Inbound Audits - document results of (Over/Short/Damage/ASN/Packaging)
o Outbound Shipment Audits - document results of (Over/Short/Damage/ASN/Packaging)
* Planning, coordinating, performing, documenting and providing feedback on stock checks upon request from Stock Check Department
o Perform initial sample stock check within 1 business day
o Perform 100% stock check within 2 business days
o Quarantine product upon direction from Stock Check Department
o SAP follow up to move faulty and block suspect stock
o Compile, pack and prepare for shipment to designated supplier for all Claimed materials based on direction from Claim Department
* Maintaining a log with open items for follow-up, direction/resolution to keep quarantined parts at a minimum
* Investigating, analyzing and documenting individual requests and measures, i.e. quality or damage claims to particular parts or parts groups
* Investigating, analyzing and documenting quality concerns from the 3PP (3rd party provider)
* Assembling, evaluating, documenting technical, visual and/or statistical data to provide all relevant background information to support quality decisions
* Supporting minor part improvement initiatives as needed i.e. supplier omission of a component of a kit, cover of a console etc.
* Establishing and documenting process standards as needed

Require Qualifications:
* 5-7 years of automotive experience
* High School diploma or GED
* Automotive technical and/or automotive parts experience
* Excellent written/verbal communication
* Rudimentary MS Excel (will have to collect data and record/basic reporting)

Desired Qualifications
* Parts/manufacturing experience (stamping, molding, casting)
* Body Shop experience (dealership/repair shop)
