The Finance Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with key business stakeholders and IT functional teams to design and implement system enhancements and business intelligence solutions that meet Finance business needs.

You will identify, design, recommend, plan, test and implement system enhancements and process changes to gain efficiency through automation. Assist in the maintenance and development of Business Intelligence, reporting, and workflow solutions for Finance business groups.
  • Create detailed business requirements documents, business system and process design documents, and workflow diagrams based on research, interviews, and meetings with business and IS contacts.

  • Create and review requirements, specifications, testing, and training plans with business stakeholders to ensure they are in line with business objectives. Work closely with development/programming staff to review and document system enhancement requirements.

  • Work with developers and Finance management to understand and convey document information needs to ensure effective BI and reporting solutions. Develop small-scale reporting solutions, create adhoc queries, schedule reports, and resolve system issues. Assist in the maintenance of the Finance SharePoint site.

  • Lead small-scale system enhancements and process optimization projects. Maintain schedules, define timelines and milestones, facilitate meetings as necessary, follow-up, and provide status reports to Finance management team on assigned projects.

  • Assist in the creation and completion of large-scale system enhancement initiatives by collaborating with Finance functional areas and IS teams. Coordinate Finance business user activities including testing and training. Monitor and measure impacts and report results to business leaders.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system issues. Develop resolution strategies including system changes, additional training, and/or reporting.
  • Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing for system enhancements and business process initiatives. Collaborate with developers and IT Dept. Business Analysts to develop business roll-out plans, including training, and provide support during and after the initial roll out. Develop documentation and training for end users on how to effectively use system features and related financial applications.
  • Assist in the setup / conversion to EDI or other electronic payments (inbound and outbound). Assist Receivable Services, Cash Applications, and Accounts Payable to identify appropriate electronic solutions and provide technical assistance converting vendors and customers to electronic invoicing/payments.?



Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Finance.


  • At least 2 years experience in a Business Analyst role with responsibility for coordinating multiple projects, gathering requirements, designing solutions, creating test plans, and measuring results, preferrably in an SAP environment.


  • Demonstrated ability to: create requirements and design documentation, develop test plans, conduct system/user testing, and manage projects to completion.


  • Experience with any of the following is a plus: WebFocus, SQL, SharePoint, SSRS, Visio, WinShuttle, K2.


  • Prior experience maintaining workflow and/or reporting solutions is strongly preferred.

  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of basic process improvement principles and techniques.
