CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provided technical support to production processes as needed to meet customer requirements
- Processes include metal fabrication, machining, welding and assembly
- Develop, propose and lead projects involving safety, quality and productivity improvements within the manufacturing operation
- Project leadership includes developing manufacturing concepts, designing processes, selecting and justifying capital equipment
- Define and execute product and process qualification activities to required specifications to verify safety, quality and productivity benefits are realized
- Document processes and assist in training production operators to the new processes.
- Estimate project budgets, manage project spending to budgets, and prepare progress reports and presentations for management reviews.
- Identify, collect, analyze and report data for decision making
- Utilize Lean problem solving tools as appropriate.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Minimum of 3 years Manufacturing Engineering experience required.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization is required
- Must be able to speak and write clearly and concisely.
- Ability to lead projects and other team members is required.
- Initiative to further develop technical skills, interpersonal skills, and career is required.
