Manufacturing Engineer

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provided technical support to production processes as needed to meet customer requirements
• Processes include metal fabrication, machining, welding and assembly
• Develop, propose and lead projects involving safety, quality and productivity improvements within the manufacturing operation
• Project leadership includes developing manufacturing concepts, designing processes, selecting and justifying capital equipment
• Define and execute product and process qualification activities to required specifications to verify safety, quality and productivity benefits are realized
• Document processes and assist in training production operators to the new processes.
• Estimate project budgets, manage project spending to budgets, and prepare progress reports and presentations for management reviews.
• Identify, collect, analyze and report data for decision making
• Utilize Lean problem solving tools as appropriate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Minimum of 3 years Manufacturing Engineering experience required.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization is required
• Must be able to speak and write clearly and concisely.
• Ability to lead projects and other team members is required.
• Initiative to further develop technical skills, interpersonal skills, and career is required.
