Manpower is seeking qualified Facility and Equipment Maintenance Technicians for a number of openings with a national food processing company in Las Vegas, NV. These are temp to perm positions within a 24/7 operation.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for maintaining operations by maintaining the equipment in the factory at optimal condition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment as needed, and overhauling the equipment when necessary.
- Ensure safe and proper operation of primary, secondary and facility equipment through repair of and preventive maintenance on all machinery.
- Must be able to troubleshoot, investigate and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic machinery.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance of properties including but not limited to: painting, overall cleaning maintenance, plumbing, electrical, finishing carpentry, and repairs.
- Respond to emergency calls when directed by employer or office staff.
- Submit bids or estimates on job lists & projects as requested. Bids and estimates are to be completed in writing & signed by Facilities Manager.
- Keep job assignment record update Facilities Manager on at least a weekly basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of electrical systems.
- Knowledge of pumps and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of piping systems (plastic and steel.)
- Knowledge of conveyor systems.
- Spanish Bilingual a plus but not necessary
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Open availability and ability to work varied hours with early start times.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule with long hours and any shifts as necessary.
- Must have excellent attendance.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.
- Highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills; able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment & under pressure, meet deadlines & accomplish team objectives.
- Basic computation/math skills required.
- Must comply with ALL safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain clean work area and organized (including maintenance tools.)
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma/GED, and or college transcripts with 3-5 years' experience.
- Experience in the electrical field
- Bilingual a plus but not required.
