Responsibilities

As a Product Innovation Business Operations Analyst, you would be primarily responsible for providing broad support to the Product Innovation team and the current project workstreams. This position will require a professional individual who has worked in a corporate environment and has operational support skills. This role will work on a project-by-project basis with people across all of the businesses as well as with external partners - with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall Product Innovation program. The candidate will have think-outside-the-box creative skills and will be able to multi-task and provide a high level efficient and decisive team support. Candidate must have excellent writing, comprehension and in-person presentation skills.

The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end to end, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment. This individual must be self-motivated and work well under pressure to meet deadlines within short time constraints.

Interacts frequently with the Product Innovation Program Manager and may likely have some interaction with the Product Innovation Business Development Strategist.

  • Receives a moderate level of instruction on daily work tasks and detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Identifies key drivers through structured analysis and conceptual thinking to effectively probe problems and causes
  • Develops an understanding of how our clients operate and how technology can be leveraged to create new value streams
  • Provides support for all Product Innovation meetings through preparation, communication, and documentation
  • Serves as a backup contact for product innovation on-boarding / off-boarding activities
  • Assists with organizing and managing all work required to complete a project within defined scope, quality, time and cost parameters..
  • Analyzes and solves problems that are low complexity and may be routine in nature where answers can be readily obtained
  • Learns and understands a broad range of Verizon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
  • Use creativity to develop new ways to present information (both contextual and data) incorporating graphics, charts, tables and clip art that enhances the message while not being distracting
  • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reporting for the New Product Development organization
  • Project management of both internal stakeholders and content partners to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Define operational requirements for tools, systems, and processes for your areas
  • Develop templates, specifications, and guidelines for day to day business process
  • Be a proactive thinker for projects so time and efforts are utilized effectively.
  • Candidate may be tasked to establish relationships with representatives from a number of other internal organizational groups
  • Assists with other company and project initiatives as necessary

Qualifications

Requires a range of skills within a technical or professional discipline including familiarity with principles, theories, concepts and technologies to work on generally complex operational or technical activities and an applied knowledge of established procedures, policies and practices.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business or Marketing preferred
  • 3+ years corporate experience required in Telecom
  • Experience with consultative methodology and customer-facing service skills
  • 2+ years of consulting experience is definitely a plus
  • Excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
  • Proven development and delivery of executive communication via Microsoft Office suite (Powerpoint,Sharepoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook) to capture and maximize your critical thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across a broad range of situations
  • Expert in time-management with the ability to manage various tasks at once and cope with pressure
  • Demonstrated proficiency in document and data management
  • Experience using project management skills to aid in the successful delivery of project tasks/deliverables
  • Natural problem solver and process oriented mindset with demonstrated desire for driving continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with common graphic design platforms and a desire to enhance the graphical representation of data is a plus.
  • Ability to present data or findings in a concise graphical form and ability to deliver findings to others
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, challenging and stimulating organization
  • Aptitude to work outside of your comfort zone and get things done quickly and in some cases with little to no supervision
  • Analytical mindset and ability to see the big picture and ability to present that big picture to others
  • Experience working on projects and with resources virtually
