Job Summary
Responsible for administering and coordinating personnel policies and programs including LOA, associate programs, EEO/AA, and new hire and termination processes. Typically the first point of contact for associate and management solicitation of HR resources and services.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Provides information to managers, supervisors, and associates regarding Company personnel practices and procedures
- Ensures timely completion of required associate documentation for employment-related processes.
- Administers Leave of Absence (LOA) programs. Counsels associates regarding benefits, distributes packets and ensures completion of documentation. Coordinates return-to-work activities. Partners with Worker�s Comp Specialist as needed to ensure compliance.
- Participates in recruiting activities for hourly associates including routing Personnel Requisitions for approval; posting and advertising requisitions; ensuring workflow activities within the Applicant Tracking System; partnering with hiring managers to determine or develop qualifications and selection tools; evaluating and interviewing candidates; presenting candidates to hiring manager; presenting offers to candidates; communicating with non-selected candidates; conducting reference checks; and, administering the background verification process.
- Coordinates new hire activities including but not limited to communicating with associates regarding first day of work activities; conducting or coordinating new hire orientation; ensuring completion and processing of new hire paperwork.
- Coordinates termination process including but not limited to facilitating exit interviews; final paycheck and termination paperwork; maintaining exit interview database; tracking and filing of unemployment insurance claims, etc..
- Performs other duties as assigned.


Nature and Scope
- Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
- Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior co worker or supervisor.

Work Environment
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Minimum Qualifications
- Must be eighteen years of age
- Must pass the Drug Test
- Must pass the Background Check
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable


Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED required. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2 - 5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or currently pursuing Bachelors Degree
- Broad knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Power Point, Excel)
- Experience with a variety of customers (both internal and external) and contacts of all levels
- Previous experience working in an HR department; previous HR related internship

Demonstrated knowledge and ability to make key HR decisions and elevate to appropriate levels of HR team

Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in creation of internal communications and company newsletters
