The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a
Director of DevOps for our Web Portals Department. Job location is in beautiful LODO Denver area near Coors Field and Union Station. Team environment is a fantastic agile workspace engineered for collaboration right along the Cherry Creek trail.Position Summary:This role requires a strong DevOps visionary to define, refine and grow the DevOps team within Time Warner Cable. This will be a collaborative role establishing strong relationships with multiple development & infrastructure teams within the organization. This position is responsible for managing the team that does the work to develop and automate the application configurations and infrastructure supporting the strategic customer facing websites of Time Warner Cable. This includes all environments from Development to Production. The nature of the work requires cross-team management skills including strong communications, negotiation, vision, and prioritization. The Director of the team will manage the team resources, approve tools and training for the team, manage team priorities, facilitate team planning, facilitate cross-team communications and improve the overall team work & delivery processes.Essential Job Functions:Team management including performance evaluation, salary treatment, development coaching, team assignments, team deliverables and budget

Team work processes to maximize delivery and automation
Team tooling in support of automation
Direct team work prioritization & commitments including engineering project deliverables and DevOps project deliverables by collaborating with constituent teams and DevOps team
Team communications providing status, negotiating issues, incident management for appropriate incident types, work plans, and team objectives
Team standards creation for team processes, documentation, knowledge sharing with engineering & other infrastructure teams
Establish strong relationships with related teams (ex. Cloud) and constituent teams requiring DevOps deliverables
Champion DevOps within TWC
Job Requirements:
-

10 years of experience in System Admin and/ DevOps position in a large company
Strong knowledge and hands on use of DevOps automation tools (Puppet, Chef, VMware, Docker- )
3+ years of experience in an agile work environment
3+ years of experience with configuration of virtuals
3+ years team leadership role managing priorities, incidents, and team assignments
3+ years providing status, key communications to multiple levels across company
3+ years in complex stakeholder environment with competing priorities and technical challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in team management, performance planning and budgeting
Strong Project management skills
Experience with Openstack/AWS Cloud implementations
Education Requirements:Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
