About this job

Duties and Responsibilities (10% time spent on these duties): The scope of the job is as follows: 1.Obtain in-house training on Perillon SourceTrak tool - Estimated eight hours. 2. Obtain in-house training on how to convert Excel spreadsheet calculations (spreadsheet attached) to Reverse Polish Notation (RPN). Estimated eight hours. 3.Convert formulas in the attached spreadsheet to RPN. Estimated 40 hours. 4.Run report in Perillon using RPN calculations and compare results to Excel calculations. - Estimated 16 hours 5.TBD The department is putting together an estimate for conversion of the calcs to RPN. The process is simple, just requires someone to perform the work. It is work that a second or third year engineering intern could easily handle. I am not sure if you are familiar with the RPN layout, but it would look something like this: Excel calculation: (A+B) * C = D RPN calculation: A B (perform addition operation), C (perform multiplication operation); result = D Building a calculation like listed should take about 5-7 mins, more complex ones about 15 mins. So we can use that in the estimate of how much it would cost to convert all of the calcs in a spreadsheet. Mon-Fri 8am-5pm Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel 2010. Must be able to create and set up formulas in the application.
