Mechanical Engineer- DIRECT HIRE!

LOCATION: Vancouver, WA

SALARY: $70,000/year

JOB DESCRIPTION: Fantastic opportunity to join an established growing company in Vancouver, WA that offers unsurpassed employee benefits. Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and developing products, manufacturing automation systems and supporting processes. Primary Responsibilities will include:

  • Transform initial product concepts into designs, using computer aided design (CAD)
  •  Initiate, define and develop new product specifications, this includes testing, validation and  verification documentation
  •  Develop creative and practical automation solutions that are capable of meeting our internal customer requirements
  •  Be proficient in using our EPDM system in order to maintain all released part drawings, and update drawings
  • Carry out job responsibilities in a safe manner and contribute to safety and well-being of self and others

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Qualified candidate will offer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and a min of 2 years’ experience
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software, min of 2 years’ experience
  • Drafting skills and working knowledge of ANSI/ASME Y14.5.1M-1994 standard
  • Working knowledge of the SolidWorks Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM)
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming
  • Machinist / Machining Skills
  • Previous motion control experience is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all employees on all levels of management
  • Experience working in fast pace, high change environment, with limited supervision with strong attention to detail and excellent prioritization and follow up skills
  • Ability to be part of team in order to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and able to read and write in English and the physical ability to lift 25 lbs.

Desired:

  • Experience in designing plastic injection molded parts
  • Experience in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
  • Experience in Designing for Manufacturing (DFM)
