Key responsibilities for this position will include the following:

* Manage and implement the Quality Assurance program for Suppliers, and Manufacturing/Distribution sites as directed)
* Lead Product Safety Compliance/Regulatory Process
* Lead Ethical and Safety Compliance/Internal Audit Process
* Lead the continuous improvement efforts of the Manufacturing Quality Management System audit process
* Lead the supplier and manufacturing Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and coordination of prototype, pre-launch, and launch part qualification runs (CQV-Runs)
* Define product specification quality requirements or critical to quality metrics
* Perform supplier capability assessments
* Approve supplier first article submissions
* Process Disposition of Supplier Process Change requests
* Review, approve and develop supplier Quality Control Plans, process flow diagrams, Process Failure Modes Effects and Analysis (PFMEA), Gage R&R's
* Maintain quality metrics of Defective Parts Per Million and On-Time Delivery, Material Non-conformances, and Supplier Scorecards
* Lead Lean, Six Sigma and OPEX initiatives with identified suppliers
* Work with suppliers on resolving defective material issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions using 8D methodology
* Coordinate supplier continuous improvement programs
* Non-Technical managerial responsibilities including work prioritization, problem solving and conflict resolution for multiple manufacturing locations, collaboration with plant Quality Managers and communicate at all levels within the GBU (written/verbal/presentation)
* Implement and manage consumer metrics (customer service and consumer complaints)
* Drive implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
* Develop metrics/goals and drive adherence
* Drive Supplier chargeback process if applicable
* Collaborate and drive International initiatives

JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical engineering or science discipline
* 10+ years of operations/manufacturing experience
* 7+ years management experience in a manufacturing environment
* 5+ years supplier quality experience
* Hands on experience in Lead and Six Sigma preferred
* Management experience and the proven ability to work in a matrix organization required
* Thorough knowledge of quality methods and systems is required (statistics, reliability, sampling and auditing)
* ISO/QS/TS quality system working knowledge and auditing experience preferred
* ASQ certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Manager (CQM) is preferred
* An experienced background in various types of manufacturing. Specific knowledge in the plastics, metals, wood, or electric commodities is preferred.
* Superior interpersonal and communication skills are essential for dealing with all levels of internal and external suppliers and customers
