You will work directly with the business, system architects, and other IT teams, to produce high quality solutions that exceed your customer’s needs.You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in an Agile software development environment that deliver customer-centric products for the website.Responsibilities• Partner with the business to understand requirements in order to create efficient and reusable application code.• Develop code in Java for public-facing applications that supports millions of logins per month.• Analyze business requirements and create high level technical design documents for Discover Card Internet Applications.• Serve as the technical project lead for Internet projects, overseeing and reviewing development activities of other developers both employee and contractors.

Qualifications

Background

• You will have a bachelor’s degree in an IT related field.

• You will have at least 7 years of relevant work experience in a Java programming role.

• You will have a strong understanding of Relational Databases and Object Oriented Programming (Java preferred).

• You are ambitious and willing to learn more in a challenging environment.
