As a member of the Consumer Solutions Group, this position is responsible managing the member communications strategy to attract and activate consumers in Optum programs in order to achieve program participation and value targets. This position will have direct involvement in designing, developing and deploying marketing communications in the Employer market.
Additionally, the ideal candidate must have demonstrated the ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast paced, results oriented work environment. You must be highly motived, rollup your sleeves, self-starter with a passion for communicating in new and disruptive ways. You should thrive on seeking new insights, finding creative solutions and measuring results.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage marketing programs focusing on building awareness and customer engagement.
- Manage marketing communication projects to monitor/ensure proper implementation (e.g., role assignments, timelines/milestone, budget management, issue tracking, deliverables).
- Manage review/revision/approval processes to ensure achievement of communications and business goals/objectives.
- Obtain review of communications content by internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable requirements (e.g., Legal, Clinical, Product, Compliance).
- Develop the necessary metrics to evaluate effectiveness of communication plans
- Compile marketing program findings and share learnings with the broader marketing organization.
- Represent marketing and the consumer experience on cross functional team.
- Manage marketing budget, delivery of all marketing activity within agreed budget.
- Performs research to identify/analyze consumer needs and preferences.
- Work with internal marketing and creative services to meet program objectives.
- Apply internal and external communications standards established for the business (e.g., branding standards/guidelines, internal style guides, naming conventions, CAN-SPAM laws, legal review, AP style guides, communications industry standards, health literacy).
- Collaborate with applicable internal and external partners to design/implement communications format and content.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years in Marketing and/or Advertising experience.
- 3+ years designing and developing promotional programs.
- Experience working with incremental impact of marketing programs including ROI.
- 3+ years experience Managing projects.
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office.
- Experience in developing and executing plans and strategies that achieve results in changing consumer behavior.
