A developer of an electrochemical battery recycling technology��is looking to add an R&D Lab Technician to their team!

Role:
Perform general chemistry laboratory duties, including operation of company's pilot cells, bench chemistry, titrations, and operate and maintain analytical equipment.

Major responsibilities:

  • Perform duties associated with pilot plant operation, including solution preparation, sampling, sample analysis, data collection and analysis
  • Prepare analytical standards, reagents and solutions
  • Perform routine analytical tests, including titrations and AA analysis
  • Document and maintain test procedures and methods according to established requirements
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
  • Maintain safe working conditions, follow SOPs and test methods, and keep a clean, orderly work area at all times

Qualifications, key competencies and skills:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering or similar field and at least 3-5 years industrial experience in a relevant field.
  • Must have previous experience with AA Spectroscopy or similar techniques
  • Hands on attitude to problem solving
  • Diligent work ethic
  • Keeps meticulous notes, records and log books.
  • Committed to working safely
