This position will support
marketing and communications related activities while playing a critical role
in defining and shaping the brand image and growth strategies for the Garage
and its portfolio of business concepts. This position offers the
opportunity to join an emerging department and work on new technology and digital
health applications that dramatically improve the security, simplicity, speed,
efficiency or experience of health care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participates in the
development of marketing and communications strategy to support customer
acquisition and engagement associated with emerging businesses - Responsible for data analysis and experiment design to test and refine
marketing and communication strategies specific to each business concept at
each stage of development. - Continuously measure and report on marketing and communications
performance to key stakeholders. - Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or
approaches. - Develop and manage marketing and communications materials and campaign
components to support customer acquisition strategies associated with emerging
businesses - Participates in segmentation and channel targeting strategy development
- Plan and manage events (e.g. workshops, demo-days, hack-a-, project
graduations, investor forums, etc.) to create awareness of the Garage portfolio
of projects with the appropriate investors, stakeholders, partners and
resources. - Develop strategies that leverage a variety of mediums (e.g. Social Media,
Blog Post, Adwords, Journal Publications, Email Marketing, trade shows, etc.) - Collaboration with Leadership, Coaches, and EIRs in development and
execution of marketing growth strategies. - Monitors the startup incubator competitive landscape and presents key
trends and opportunities in the marketplace. - Creates communications materials that provide a consistent voice, image
and brand for the incubator
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Design,
Entrepreneurial Management, or Marketing, preferred OR HS diploma/GED with 5+ years of marketing experience - 3+ years leading cross functional projects is required
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop is required
- 3+ years of experience defining and
executing marketing strategy is required - Knowledge and understanding of Growth Hacking and test-driven marketing
required - Thorough knowledge of major social media and tools and ability to use
them to establish thought-leadership, communities and dialogue required - Understanding of user experience best practices is necessary
- Understanding of how to leverage usability testing and field interviews
to gain insights - Understanding of Mobile user experience
- 5+ years experience in Microsoft Office Suites: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint (creating and editing)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Apple products; MacBook experience
