We are searching for a Construction Coordinator with 2 years experience in Construction and an office environment. This position will be primarily responsible for reporting and managing vendors for activities that support Rubio's efforts to open new restaurants and remodel existing locations.

Job Description

1.In conjunction with the Accounting Department, Project Manager and Director of Design and Construction, coordinate and track all project invoicing and project costs.
2.Under the direction of the Project Manager and Director of Design and Construction, initiate check requests for all construction projects.
3.Gather all project documentation from developer and/or owner and distribute to project team members.
4.Under the direction of the Construction Manager and Director of Design and Construction, coordinate General Contractor and vendor project schedules, including utility applications.
5.Maintain the approved General Contractor list with current AIA A-305 contractor qualification documents and insurance coverage.

Additional Requirements

Education: The successful candidate should have a 4 year degree or equivalent.

Experience: 2-5 years' experience in a business office environment and construction or related field.

Knowledge: Knowledge of how Construction functions with other departments such as Real Estate, Accounting, and Purchasing. Strong functional knowledge of restaurant operations, Marketing, Finance, Development, and Human Resources is important. ?

Language Skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to effectively present information to all levels of management and outside vendors.

Other Skills/Abilities: Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very fast-paced team environment. Skilled in inventory management, internal auditing, and budget reconciliation. Accurate PO development and preparation of invoices for prompt payment is required. Proven results in contract development including writing, analyzing, reviewing and executing; good negotiating skills required. Ability to think big and make things happen - takes initiative and sets new standards. Strong analytical/quantitative skills and apply to all aspects of the position. Ability to help manage a substantial department budget. Ability to analyze business problems and recommend solutions. Strong attention to detail is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and related software. Excellent computer skills are essential, including logistics spreadsheets and project tracking.
