Manpower is currently recruiting for an HR Assistant for one of our clients in New York, NY! Job Responsibilities: *To oversee the administration of all freelancers/independent contractors within the company *Oversee and ensure adherence to freelance/independent contractor governance structure and ensure client has a compliant IC workforce. *Act as Subject Matter Expert on freelance policy and as escalation point to the business. *Supports the business and freelancers in going through the vetting process. *Provides audit information to management by researching and analyzing data; preparing reports. Main Activities and Responsibilities: *Freelance governance structure *Oversee governance structure within client in order to stay compliant with US legislation. Facilitate compliance freelance activities with existing laws and regulations, internal policies and procedures, and industry ethical standards. *Review and - where necessary - reclassify all independent contractors in the US. Ensure not approved ICs are converted to REflex program. *Act as the key contact person for third party temp provider on IC issues *Subject Matter expert *Act as primary contact person for Freelancers and the business and as escalation point for the business with more complex matters with regard to freelance vetting and or compliance issues. Train relevant staff, so they are able to assess compliance matters around freelancers. *Manage Technology provider (Fieldglass) to ensure technical issues are resolved. Freelance program communication and administration *Administer and program manage all US freelance/independent contractors. Ensure appropriate documentation of present freelancers. *Ensure continuous and cross-functional daily communication and support to the business on all freelancer/ic compliance-related matters. *Completes and presents regular reviews for management concerning compliance status, including particular instances of non-compliance and corrective measures planned or in place. *Creates and facilitates systems that monitor freelance practices, under the applicable compliance standards Functional and Technical Competencies: *Ability to work cross-functional environment *Creative problem solver *Ability to identify and address issues proactively in a timely manner *Structured and process oriented *Familiar with Fieldglass technology Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experiences (and any other requirements) *4 year college degree in a business discipline; functional backgrounds must include either HR and/or Legal *1-2 years of post-graduate experience in Legal, compliance and/or HR Contract Length: 5 months Pay: $23/hr For additional details on this role contact: Robert Schuettpelz Email: Robert.schuettpelz@manpowergroup.com Please go to www.manpowerjobs.com and create a profile with us and contact this recruiter directly.
