Position Purpose:


Worker performs a combination of heavy and light cleaning to maintain facilities appearance, safety, cleanliness and sanitation.

Essential Job Functions:

The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities w ith or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Cleans, sanitizes and restocks multiple bathrooms and lunchrooms;
• Empties and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner;
• Sweeps floors;
• Washes walls and windows;
• Dusts office furniture and fixtures;
• Vacuums stairs, hallways and offices;
• Shampoos carpet;
• Strips and waxes floors;
• Makes coffee and maintains coffee maker; and
• Recycles cardboard and other materials.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position is not a supervisor position but may require the training; coaching and mentoring of newly hired or transferred workers.

Work Environment:

• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50lbs;
• Capable of team lifting over 50lbs;
• Capable of: standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching and reaching above shoulder level, climbing stairs, working on a second and third story enclosed work level, bending, kneeling, squatting, talking, hearing and grasping;
• Work performed in a typical office and warehouse environment;
• Capable of wearing vinyl latex free gloves;
• Concrete walking surfaces; and
• Noise levels less than 80dB.

Minimum Requirements:
Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent are desired.
• Must display the ability to read and write basic messages and verbally communicate to fellow workers and supervisors in the English language.
