Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include activities associated with prompt receipt of incoming chemical raw material to include bulk and non-bulk, and all activities associated with material supply to production cells in the Paint & Resin plants. Position is responsible for outbound coordination of goods on 3rd shift and provide support to the pre-assembly operation Responsible for meeting goals, to include safety, OTIF, inventory management and the development of the hourly work force. Inventory accuracy and product flow in the W/H is of utmost importance.

Develop and implement improved future state processes on the shift and within the operations. Duties include working closely with Purchasing, Receiving, Shipping and Preassembly. This is a service process so internal customer relationships are critical. Work with the Receiving Team Leader to implement a safety action plan, train employees, develop/update standard work procedures & processes. Manage daily supervisory duties of associates. Write W/O’s as needed to repair fork trucks, W/H racks, tank farm equipment, etc. as well as initiating/completing projects to support the team’s improved performance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or similar with least 3 years warehouse experience
  • Supervisory experience, preferably as part of a multi-shift operation


OR
  • In lieu of Bachelor's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years warehouse management experience
  • Supervisory experience required, preferably as part of a multi-shift operation


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a coatings or chemical manufacturing plant preferred


Functional and Technical Skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP software preferred (Oracle is a plus)
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively without close supervision
  • Ability to communicate and interact at multiple levels
  • Ability to create and manage teams and effectively resolve conflict
