Machine Operator Trainee

MACHINE OPERATOR TRAINEE

Are you a Machine Operator in the Metal or Plastics industry that is looking for a long-term position with a very stable company?
Our manufacturing client in Oshkosh, WI has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator Assistant that will grow into a Machine Operator role within 6 months to 1 year.
In this position, you would be:
* Assisting the Machine Operator in set up and operation of sheet metal Press Machines
* Learning the operations of the machine to train to become the Machine Operator, including: set up and tear down, noticing machine malfunctions or irregularities and being able to make minor repairs and adjustments on machines
* Monitoring the machine as it operates to verify quality
* Maintaining efficient flow of materials
* Reporting any quality issues or operation irregularities

Hours: 12:00pm to 8:00pm Monday through Thursday; 7:00am to 3:00pm Fridays

Pay: $16 to $18 per hour to start, with an increase to $20+ per hour once become Machine Operator

Qualified Candidates Must:
-have a minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in operating machines that involve metal or plastic products
-be able to perform quality checks using: micrometers, calipers and gauges (company is ISO certified)
-be able to read and understand drawings or blueprints
-have basic math and reading skills
-must have a strong mechanical aptitude and comfortable to learn how to diagnose and help fix machine issues
