Walgreens is partnering with Manpower to staff long term contract (up to 3 years) opportunities for Bench Technicians to work in their equipment service depot located in Homewood, IL to perform repair and maintenance of electronic equipment from their local retail stores. Job Description *Individuals will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of electronics equipment owned by Walgreens Co. *Individuals will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment failures using test equipment, such as a multi-meter, software diagnostic tools and basic hand tools to complete the repair and refurbishment of the equipment. Qualifications & Experience *Ideal profile: Bench or Repair Technicians with prior experience with the repair and maintenance of electronics equipment and computer peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.) preferred, but training will be provided to candidates who have the aptitude to learn. *Teachable profile: Prior work experiences performing mechanical-electrical assembly or skilled trades who are mechanically inclined and can read and follow detailed instructions to complete tasks. Examples of candidates in these roles who were a teachable fit include: Military Technician or Mechanic, Auto Mechanic, Assembler (Mechanical or Electrical), Product (Hardware) Quality Assurance Tester, and PC Support. *All candidates must have a mechanical aptitude with the ability to use basic hand tools to complete the repair and refurbishment of the equipment. *All candidates must have the ability to read and follow instructions and product guidelines in order to complete repair and maintenance tasks. The ability to read schematics and blueprints preferred. *Any experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing circuit boards, subassemblies and more complex hardware including soldering experience a plus. Work Environment: The worksite is a large, comfortable space with work benches throughout. Individuals will be required to carry equipment, which could entail lifting up to 50lbs, to and from work benches and shipping area. Manual hand dexterity and coordination as well as bending and lifting throughout the day will be required.
