Pita Bros. Cook Position (GRILL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED)
- Being prompt to work
- Maintaining good hygiene throughout the work day
- Maintain high quality production process from storage to raw to cooking meats
- Basic skills: vegetable saute, meat marinating, braising, grill cooking
- Understand food safety practices to avoid food contamination
- Understand the importance of display grilling during peak hours
- Continuously check and note meat temperatures as required
- Keep an up to date refrigerator, freezer counts
- Continuously clean grill, kitchen area, equipment, and assist in cleaning restrooms
- Cook ample stock to refresh hot wells without interruption during peak times
- Help receive and put away food orders, clean, organize, and rotate items in the walk-in cooler
- Must be able to taste test items and visually ID items for proper specifications
- Use proper portioning of ingredients to prepare items for cooking
- Interact well with other Pita Bros. employees and guests
- Restock cooked items safely during peak hours
- Help in cleaning dishes
- Have the ability to step in to help assemble guest orders with accuracy
- Basic English comprehension is required. Fundamental reading, writing and math skills are required
PITA BROS. Physical Demands
-We are a fast paced work place with repetitive motion in a standard height kitchen
-Items in the kitchen areas have sharp blades, hot ovens, as well as cleaning solvents caution should be used.
- Some hazards may include slipping, falling, burns, abrasions, and cuts
-Employees may be needed to lift up to 50lbs. and to reach, bend, wipe, or stoop down.
-Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred
-May need to walk or stand for an entire shift
- Overtime may be scheduled, as well as some holidays or weekends
-Pita Bros. will follow State and federal guidelines for age requirements.
