The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Senior QA Engineer for our Architecture, Development & Engineering Web & Commerce Department . Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

The Web & Commerce Engineering team occupies a unique, strategic role within Time Warner Cable with a large degree of autonomy in architecting and building Web portal, application and B2B solutions. In addition to leadership around traditional Web platforms, this group also performs pioneering work in cross-platform video services to set-top boxes, networked media appliances and mobile Web applications. The solutions developed by this group are deployed to audiences in excess of 10M unique users per month.


Essential Job Functions:

The selected candidate will be responsible for testing scalable, interactive Web applications for the presentation of rich media, dynamic content, communications services, and subscriber utilities for Time Warner Cable web properties and applications.

- Apply continuous integration and automation practices to testing of Web applications developed by the Marketing Portals Team.
- Development of tests for Web applications, primarily web content management suite, as well as working with the Marketing Teams to ensure all functionality is tested.
- Assist in user acceptance testing functionality hand-offs;
- Demonstrate expertise working and communicating with internal users.
- Create test or demo content to validate CSS and styles are working properly on the sites.
- Demonstrate expertise in testing server-side web applications using Jmeter, GEB, Spock, SauceLabs, Wraith and mocking frameworks.
- Demonstrate expertise in testing various clients (HTML/JavaScript, Flash, iPhone/iPad, Android) with Selenium and other UI Testing frameworks as well as manual testing when needed.
- Participate in agile team development processes
- Demonstrate experience with high volume, long-life projects, balancing feature velocity, long-term maintenance costs, and operational effort.
- Monitor industry trends and advocate for QA best practices to maintain and enhance the product ' s leadership position in the industry.


Job Requirements:

- Experience developing dynamic Web applications at scale (>1M+ monthly unique visitors).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Test-Driven-Development and Continuous-Integration (GitHub/Gradle, Openstack, Vagrant, Grid management).
- Demonstrate willingness to adapt to emerging technological changes.
- Work and communicate well with others in a team environment.
- 5+ years working in a UNIX/Linux environment.
- 5+ years with core web technologies (HTTP, XML, XHTML, CSS).
- 5+ years with Java testing technologies (Hudson/Jenkins, Jmeter, groovy, webpage test, Wraith, EasyMock, Selenium).
- Demonstrate a high standard of work ethics.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience with web content management applications
- Demonstrated expertise with object-oriented analysis and design, enterprise design patterns and SOA architecture.
- Demonstrated expertise with server-side programming languages (Java, Perl).
- Demonstrated experience with Java open-source tools and frameworks (Spring, JUnit, EasyMock, Selenium, FlexMonkey, Mocha).
- Demonstrated experience with dynamic languages (Ruby, Groovy, Python) and frameworks (Rails, Grails, Django).
- Demonstrated familiarity with client-side scripting (JavaScript, AJAX) technologies.
- Demonstrated familiarity with major JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, Dojo, NodeJS, AngularJS).


Education and Experience:

Bachelor ' s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
