Do you have a customer service background and want to try something new? Metro Shore Services is currently seeking candidates to fill multiple positions at Pier 91 in Seattle and at SeaTac airport for the summer cruise season.

Staff in these positions assist cruise line guests at the beginning and end of their vacations at Pier 91 in Seattle and at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. This is an upbeat and fun work environment serving happy and excited customers who are about to go on vacation, often the trip of a lifetime!

The wage for all pier and airport agents is $11/hr. Applicants available Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday are strongly preferred, but we also have openings for Saturday and Sunday only. All staff must be available for training on April 25 in Seattle.

All newly hired staff must be proficient with basic computer applications in order to check-in guests in for their cruise and able to stand up for the duration of their shift.

1. WORK DAYS: Saturdays and Sundays from April 25 through September 27. Tuesday shifts are also available at Pier 91 and limited weekday and evening shifts are available at the airport. All positions are seasonal and part-time. Most shifts start at 7:15am or 9:45am and are 5-7 hours.

2. PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONS: To provide excellent customer service in all areas for the cruise lines Metro Shore represents. Strive to exceed guest expectations by delivering a smooth debarkation and embarkation operation to cruise guests.

3. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Primary Duties
*Must be available for the vessel turnaround days as assigned including weekends and holidays
*Arrive to assigned shift on time in full uniform on all cruise dates committed to during hiring process
*Complete assigned task each sailing
*Meet and greet arriving cruise guests inside and outside the cruise terminal
*Greet & direct each cruise guest with a smile exuding warm and friendly customer service
*Greeters distribute cruise line information as assigned to cruise guests with a smile
*Listen to guest questions, respond and resolve appropriately
*Direct guests to mode of transportation during debarkation
*Provide highest level of customer service maintaining professional and positive demeanor in a fast pace environment
*Be able to visually review and examine guest cruise documents and proof of citizenship
*Complete computerized check in transactions on laptops
*Distribute guests cabin keys and provide clear explanation of boarding information
*Be able to push a wheelchair if/when requested
*Be physically able to stand for extended periods of time, often for the entire shift.
*Assists in loading buses with departing guests to airports by greeting guests and keeping accurate head counts of bus capacity
*Performs all other duties as assigned and/or requested

B. Additional Functions
*Be able to multitask handling multiple job assignments at once.
*Complete handwritten forms and computerized forms
*Team work mindset aEUR must be able to work well with others while dealing with public
*Must maintain professional demeanor in a challenging environment during ship delays and other unforeseen circumstances.
