Lab Technician- Entry - Full-time / Part-time

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Lab Technician- Entry.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Experis is currently hiring multiple lab technicians for a variety of lab technician roles (Extraction Lab, SNP Lab, and Sample Lab). These individuals will be responsible for working with in a high throughput lab environment doing a variety of lab techniques. This individual will need a Bachelor's in a scientific related field and some experience within a lab setting (academic or professional). Apply today!!

Extraction Lab- This position entails extracting protein for ELISA testing or extracting DNA from seed for SNP testing.

SNP Lab- The SNP position will be responsible for setting up PCR reactions for SNP analysis, determining priorities, filling pre-filled plates, and scoring data.

Sample Lab- This position will be responsible for receiving samples into the lab for the different tests performed, labeling samples, grinding and counting seed, keeping inventory of samples, disposing of samples when testing is complete.

Qualifications:

• The candidate must be a team player with a positive attitude; strong attention to detail, willing to adapt to change; reliable and flexible.
• Experience in a high-throughput environment is a plus.
• B.S. degree in a scientific related field.
• Prior scientific work experience or course work is a plus.
• Experience within ELISA, DNA, PCR, SNP, or sample prep is highly desired.

Additional Details: In this role, the candidate will conduct laboratory tests in accordance with ISO and in-house standards. The candidate may assist in any department of the laboratory as lab work flow requires. The candidate will participate in safety programs and will need to comply with all safe work practices.
