Q.A. Food Safety Officer and Trainer - Full-time / Part-time

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Q.A. Food Safety Officer and Trainer for a local food manufacturing plant.

Job Duties and Requirements:

- Will be responsible for environmental and equipment swabbing.
- Responsible for training, orientation and auditing of all pre-requisite for food safety program, to include but not limited to, processing food safety and quality, GMP, and HACCP program requirements.
- Maintain, verify and amend plant food safety and quality program as necessary.
- Ensure that food safety and quality rules are being rigorously respected.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate activities related to the food safety and quality program.
- Ensure thorough follow-up of each non-conformance of the food safety and quality program with effective action plans.
- Monitor and document the Pre-Requisite programs, creating corrective actions and identifying root causes.
- Successfully participate in further processing audits-internal and external
- Train management and employees in relation to job specific techniques and knowledge, food safety and quality ensuring in depth understanding of the rules.
- Implement the best control measures possible.
- Support members of Production and QC in the application and/or monitoring of the food safety and quality rules and controls
- Inform immediate supervisor, Production Manager, and Facility manager when a non-conformance is found that greatly impacts food safety or quality.
- Responsible for helping prepare for audits.

Pay Rate: $12 / Hour

Shift Times Vary: Must be flexible.
