Camp Bow Wow in Oak Park is looking for Camp Counselors/Dog Handlers for the AM and PM shift. Full-time/Part-time positions available.
We are an upscale dog daycare and boarding service with locations across the country. Camp Bow Wow is dedicated to giving our clients peace of mind and providing a safe environment where a dog can be a dog, romp, and play. Our Oak Park location was the first Camp in the Chicago area and has had a successful seven years. We are in the process of expanding to the western suburbs.
Part-time Sample Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:45 PM - 7:15 PM
Sunday 6:30 to 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 7:15 PM.
Full-time Sample Schedule:
Tuesday - Friday 6:30AM - 1:00 PM
Saturday 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 7:15 PM.
Job Requirements:
Must love dogs!
Must be able to do a very physical job, bending, stooping, lifting, and heavy cleaning.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to be on your feet all day.
Must be able to work one weekend day per week and most holidays.
Professional experience working with dogs in a daycare or boarding facility, as a vet tech, vet assistant, or dog trainer is highly desired.
Must be reliable and on-time, our canine campers depend on you!
High School diploma required. Some college desirable.
Competitive compensation based on relevant experience. ($10-12 an hour)
