About this job

Provides team leadership in providing treatment direction for social services and nursing staff. Coordinates treatment efforts with outside agencies, parents, families, spouse, significant others, physicians and other concerned parties. Conducts psychosocial histories for each patient. Prepares special reports as required. Conducts aftercare, specialty or support groups as assigned. Develops individualized treatment plans appropriate to assigned patient's needs. Conducts individual, group and family therapy. Provides input in treatment planning. Provides input in unit staff meetings. Maintains and sustains professional ethics, adherence to hospital policies, and compliance with the HCA Code of Conduct. Promotes strict staff observance of confidentiality and patient rights. Understands and supports hospital nursing philosophy and the hospital mission.

Must be at least 21 years of age. Requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy. Licensed in the State of Idaho and at least 2 years of experience. Must have knowledge regarding community and facility resources in Idaho.

Position has frequent interaction with in-house and outlying area mental health professionals, physicians, nursing staff and administrative personnel. Therefore, must have the sensitivity, maturity and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Must have basic computer and analysis skills. Maintains current AHA CPR for Healthcare Providers certification on hire. Maintains current NVCI certification within 90 days of hire.

This position requires that you drive a facility owned vehicle or your own vehicle. A current state of Idaho driver’s license is required. If relocating to Idaho from another state, you must obtain a current Idaho driver’s license within 90 days of making Idaho your permanent state of residence. If you are not a permanent resident of Idaho you must have a valid driver’s license from the state in which you permanently reside. In addition, if you will be driving your own vehicle 2 or more times per week for company related business, documentation of proof of liability insurance must be provided. Liability insurance must have a combined single limit of at least $300,000 or have $100,000/$300,000 coverage split. This position is subject, upon hire and annually, to an MVR report/analysis and driver safety education.
