Job Description:

Performs duties in a safe, functional and effective manner that reduces hazards, risks, prevents accidents and injuries and maintains safe conditions by adhering to established safety standards.

Completes and maintains all security logs, occurrence reports and fire safety systems throughout the facility and grounds.

Continuously patrols the hospital, grounds and medical office buildings on a routine basis.

Responds to all emergency codes and completes the necessary reports accordingly

Obtains assistance for patients, visitors and employees in the event of an accident and/or injury.

Maintains order and enforces Hospital rules and regulations as directed.

Coordinates safety and security measures for all special events, traffic control, public relations, etc.

Transports employees to parking lots.

Complies with all post orders.

Secures and retrieves all patient valuables and maintains proper accountability of those items in the control log from the Administration safe.

Maintains confidentiality, security and integrity of patient and organizational data.

Completes written reports to document non-compliance and occurrence reports.

Serves as a greeter and provides information, directions and instructions to all visitors, patients, Physicians and colleagues as requested at the access control Fast Pass station.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Current driver's license required

Must have 2-3 years experience in Security or Law Enforcement in Healthcare setting.

Security D Florida License Required

Previous experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred

Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50lb
