Position Summary: This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/Centennial Medical Plaza of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Provides safe, satisfying, cost-effective nurse-midwifery care to women in the ANM caseload in both inpatient and outpatient settings. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements:

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registration, American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) or American Midwifery Certification Board (ACMB) Certification, current BLS, current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification, and enrollment in ACNM Continuing Competency Assessment Program (CCA) or ACMB Certification Maintenance Program (CMP)

B . Education: Graduate of an ACNM Accredited Nurse-Midwifery Program. Masters degree nursing required

C. Experience: Prefer recent CNM experience in a full scope practice. Prefer teaching or precepting experience. Prefer C/S First Assist Experience. Prefer bi-lingual English and Spanish.

D. Special Qualifications: Excellent clinical knowledge and skills for full scope nurse-midwifery practice including obstetrics, gynecology, and common primary care knowledge as outlined by ACNM, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Possess the ability to interact in a positive manner with clients, physicians, and all nursing and ancillary staff. Possesses the ability to teach, evaluate, and provide feedback to nursing, nurse-midwifery, medical students and residents.
