Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility


• Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability


• Work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems


• Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications


• Provide in depth consultation to application teams on a variety of different applications


• Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics


• Leads large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives


• Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business


• Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences


• Competent with emerging software enhancements, security patches, and bug fixes


• Lead Internal Performance and Stability Projects


• Perform application updates/deployments


• Perform incident and problem resolution


• Development of internal tooling


• Provide on-call support on rotation

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of UNIX (AIX and/or Linux) experience


• 5+ years of experience with administration, support, troubleshooting and problem determination on IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) or JBoss


• 5+ years of experience with SDLC


• 3+ years of experience with IBM WebSphere advanced/BPM Technologies

• 3+ years of expertise in SOA fundamentals


• 2+ years experience with enterprise architecture and systems design


• High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience or Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• UNIX shell scripting (sh, ksh, bash, perl)


• IBM WebSphere wsadmin usage and scripting (JACL/Jython)


• IBM WebSphere performance analysis, system testing, and JVM heap tuning experience
