Technical Writer: Wiki-Based Help

Experis is currently hiring a Technical Writer for a client in the New Jersey area. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop, write and edit material for a help system targeted at internal users. This may include, but not limited to online help, user help guides & manuals, briefs, instructional books and related technical and administrative publications. Documentation may be required for both web-based (wiki) and printable means.

Skills:
Ability to design, implement, and maintain wiki namespaces and pages
Ability to migrate legacy documents to wiki
Ability to architect scalable wiki namespaces and page linking layouts
Ability to create wiki templates
Ability to implement metadata and tagging structure
Ability to work with stakeholders for requirements and iterative feedback
Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users understanding
Excellent writing and communication skills
Understanding of software development life cycle

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in pertinent field
Thorough understanding of the business usage of wiki technologies (2+ years)
Administrative knowledge of and experience with Wiki engines, preferably with IBM Connections
Experience documenting technical user help materials
Experience creating architecture for online help delivery
Portfolio of work showing experience
