About this job
The maintenance manager will be responsible for directing and scheduling 5 maintenance techs in a food manufacturing environment. This person will coordinate department activities and special projects, provide development for current employees and uphold company policies and procedures, ensure and manage a budget, work with vendors to purchase equipment and supplies and help with conducting interviews and new employee orientation. The plant makes sauerkraut which does have a rather strong odor. Their busy season will require significant overtime which is from August to December (harvest time).
Must
5 years supervisory experience, 8 years mechanical maintenance acquired experience, high school diploma, food industry knowledge, preferably SQF. Computer knowledge using MS Office.
Plus: Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering, experience with CMMS systems, preferably instituting from the ground up, background in Lean Manufacturing.
