Service Technician

-Responsible for the assembly and construction of modular buildings
-Modular buildings are used on job sites and can be assembled per customer specs
-These units can be stacked on top of each other or side by side, usually determined by space available for units
-This job requires the assembly of units in a production environment.
-First the base of the unit is brought into the bay doors
-To begin assembly, requires the installation and assembly of the floor
-Next, begin assembling walls, by securing wall panels to the floor by nuts/bolts that are installed by hand and power tools
-While installing walls, additional fixtures may be added, wiring for electric, some plumbing for toilets and sinks
-For some orders, there may be multiple showers or toilets installed, which may require an outside plumber
-For these fixtures and including doors and windows, requires the ability to frame
-After walls are assembled the unit is pushed into the next department
-The unit is on rails/track and wheels and requires a team to move the unit
-Here the roof is installed on the unit by use of an overhead crane
-Also any additional electric, transformer is installed to the outside of the unit
-At this point, any finishing touches are completed, such as caulking and sealing roof, touch up paint work, wiping down any scuffs or dirt marks, and cleaning the unit to be sent to customer
-Could also be working in materials department, which includes reloading panels for production, using forklift to unload trucks, making sure production has materials and tools needed to complete assemblies.
