This individual will lead regional operations and contribute to the development of our Patient Centered Care Model (PCCM) for Accountable Care Organizations (ACO). Our ACO platform is undergoing major expansion over the next few years. This is a high visibility position with both external practice facing and internal business partner responsibilities. If you have experience managing or building large field based regional or national teams, then this job is for you.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Accountable for medical cost savings for a portfolio of ACOs in your assigned region
  • Responsible for all aspects of planning, execution, and communication of regional operations
  • Lead a team of field-based clinical practice consultants to deliver UnitedHealthcare's PCCM clinical model to ACOs which have entered into a gain or risk sharing arrangement
  • Recruit, train, and mentor clinical practice consultants developing a positive and highly motivated team culture
  • Coordinate development of infrastructure around people, process, and technology to achieve scale, working in a matrix environment
  • Collaborate with key internal functional groups or business stakeholders, operating in a highly matrixed environment, to ensure success of PCCM

Requirements

Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's Degree



  • 8 - 10+ years of work experience which includes experience in cross-functional business areas such as general management, strategic planning, business development, and people management



  • Critical thinker-this position will need to evaluate merits of new and innovative ideas and make sound decisions



  • Strong influencer




    • This position will partner with Clinical resources to enable practice transformation



  • Strong relationships




    • This role will work with Clinical Consulting Directors, Medical Directors, Sr. Leadership as well as business and technology partners to plan, direct and develop clinical programs



  • Strong Communicator




    • This role will need to be extremely comfortable presenting program objectives, scope, and process across segments



  • Works effectively in an ambiguous environment



  • High degree of emotional intelligence


Preferred Qualifications:




  • MBA or a Master's degree in Public Health Administration, Public Policy, Economics, or related fields



  • Client management or account management



  • Health care industry or other service industry



  • Managing or developing field-based team
