About this job

Primary responsibility is to support the release of new products.

Will also participate in the architecting, implementing, and supporting system level power solutions for storage systems and related products


The duties include:
Support development and releases, work with product groups to provide Road map planning and work with various product groups to understand their system configurations and perform power measurements.

Work with external contractors to enter the proper data into each new release.

Provide test cases and perform testing for each release.

Must have basic understanding of Visual Basic or other programming languages.

Use strong business experience to manage a multi customer/partner/supplier environment.

Support the definition, specification generation, scheduling, design review and qualification of system level power elements in a product development cycle.

Work in a cross functional team environment to support system integration projects, which would typically epower system design engsystem integration engineers, global services, QA, & program managers.

Contribute to the technical solutions required for the product. This includes supporting system level power architecture design recommendations, having a good knowledge and understanding of data center power architecture, performing system level AC end-to-end analysis, and system level power measurements throughout the project lifecycle.

Participate in activities within the corporate organization that lead to continuous improvements and excellence in power system quality and reliability.

Provide system level strategic sustaining engineering support for customer or supplier issues that are critical to business continuity.

Detail oriented and comfortable of working with Engineering Change Orders, bill of Material engineering problem tracking tools System specifications System cable drawings & specifications

Qualifications:
4+ years experience minimum, with strong emphasis both the technical and business aspects of power system product development and data center power architecture.
Requires a strong understanding and familiarity of computer system hardware, from system architecture to microcontroller hardware and firmware, as it pertains to power system design.
