We have a challenging opportunity for a FT AIr Courier Messenger based out of our Louisville KY location.

Job Summary:
The Air Courier Messenger is responsible for escorting cargo to and from the facility to customer locations as well as providing security for shipments prior to air transportation. This position functions in an armed environment and requires the enforcement of rules to protect the premises and property of Brink’s and its customers and in armored vehicles in transit, as well as the safety of persons on the premises of Brink’s and its customers, including armored vehicles.

Position Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate directly with the customer service group and other members of branch staff the shipping and receiving of liability to and from customer locations as well as the movement of freight via air.
• Maintain communication with ground support at origin and destination locations as well as airports and maintain a position at the aircraft in order to monitor the same.
• Enforce and report all security or safety violations to the Manager as well as any unusual and suspicious situations that have occurred during daily assignments
• Provide security by adhering to the General Security Regulations and other directives handed down by the management
• Assist in the maintenance of the BITS database for BGS to coordinate freight and daily routes
• Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum 6 months of experience as a courier or guard
• A current & valid driver’s license
• Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements
• A valid weapons permit or ability to pass applicable weapons licensing requirements
• A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must have flexibility in working a wide range of hours. Must be able to perform driver and or messenger duties

Preferred Qualifications:
• Good basic math skills
• Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel
• Previous operational experience, while working in a fast paced environment
