The identified applicant will cover the entire state of Colorado and New Mexico; along with the west Texas Area.

Manages the development, growth, and profitability of pharmacies within assigned district; develops and monitors sales and profit plans, analyzes new pharmacy sites, and negotiates for purchase of pharmacies. Hires, trains, and develops pharmacy staff and ensures compliance to appropriate legal requirements.

1.Develops, reviews, and analyzes store-level plan for sales and gross margin; monitors performance to weekly plan. Monitors investment levels to ensure proper implementation of order system and maintenance of appropriate investment. Implements local and corporate programs to improve sales and profitability.

2.Completes competitive price shops; monitors, revises, and offers feedback to headquarters regarding specific drugs and markets in order to ensure competitive pricing in district. 3.Oversees implementation and operation of corporate and regional pharmacy programs including pharmacy systems. 4.Ensures quality customer care in stores by following up on and resolving incidents and complaints.

5.Recruits, trains, develops, and monitors pharmacist and pharmacy manger performance; identifies potential district manager candidates.

6.Analyzes market areas by conducting site surveys at new company locations in order to determine if a pharmacy should be included in the store. Works in conjunction with regional construction manager, regional store planning manager, and pharmacy boards to coordinate the completion of state and local requirements for new and refurbished pharmacy departments; establishes new pharmacy departments including initiation of licensing, opening orders for drugs and supplies, developing physical location, and initiating start of computer systems.

7.Develops and implements store-specific promotional programs including promotions on doctor detailing, senior citizen centers, community service presentations, health fairs, employer visits, and in-store events in order to promote customer service.

8.Identifies potential pharmacy acquisitions, negotiates purchase agreements, closes and completes the acquisition including handling of inventory, operations, and advertising requirements in order to increase sales.

9.Identifies potential sales and contacts for Manager, Key Accounts and third party provider networks; provides information to initiate contract negotiations; and markets company services to nursing home accounts and third parties; negotiates contracts, and implements pharmacy services for such contracts in order to increase sales.

10.Ensures store compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy laws; participates and coordinates with state, federal, or Drug Enforcing Agency inspections, interviews, and investigations. Acts as pharmacy representative to state boards, retail associations, and other professional organizations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or equivalent.

2.Minimum of three years pharmacy management experience or equivalent.

3.Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, principles, and procedures.

4.Strong knowledge of appropriate federal, state, and local regulations.

5.Good organizational, administrative, managerial, and communication skills.

6.Good analytical ability to gather and interpret information and to recommend and implement solutions
