We are looking for Big-Data architects that will lead the design and implementation of our next generation of best in class solutions for various clients. As a dynamic and talented Big Data architect, you will have proven hands on experience leading architectural design of large scale, high availability Big Data solutions. You will understand the technical opportunities and limitations of the various technologies at your disposal and will be able to specify the tailored hardware for the recommended solutions. Along with the immediate architecture, you will have an innate understanding of how to provision, monitor, support, evolve, and evangelize the chosen technology stack(s). You will interact with customers, business partners and all stakeholders to understand the business objective and drive solutions that effectively meet the needs of a client. The focus of this position is to provide solutions within the Hadoop environment using technologies such as HDFS, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, HBase, ZooKeeper, Storm, and other Big Data technologies.

The ideal candidate embraces a fast-moving environment and demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit to application development. As a new member of a small start-up team, you will be expected to help with hiring and mentoring other engineers (including your own referrals).

•BS Degree

•The ideal candidate must have minimum 10 years’ software development experience

•The ideal candidate must have 2+ years Hadoop-related architecture experience

•The ideal candidate must have 1+ years architecting Big Data hardware/software deployments

•Experience in designing solutions for multiple large data warehouses with a good understanding of cluster and parallel architecture

•Good knowledge of Unix/Linux, Ruby, Python, Perl or other scripting languages.

•Development knowledge of J2EE and design patterns in a distributed, multi-platform, heterogeneous computing environment.

•Good knowledge of SQL, RDBMS platforms and Teradata.

•Must have demonstrable experience of NoSQL: Hadoop/HBase/HDFS, Cassandra, MongoDB, and Riak,

•Must have exposure to developing solutions using continuous integration

•Ability to understand what is required to actively monitor and respond to system issues

•Self-starter with a passion for new technologies.

•Must have Experience in a technical leadership role

•Active participation the open source communities
