The Online Retail Coordinator will report to the Director, Online Retail, Global Operations. The Coordinator will assist in the day-to-day responsibilities for managing and expanding the overall business and facilitating financial tasks to ensure proper accounting practices are implemented. Day-to-day responsibilities include executing on high-level strategies related to product sourcing, documenting hotel payments for accounting and building awareness for our brands by focusing on the development of content and content distribution to tell the story of ShopMarriott through engaging content such as video, articles, blogging and local events.

All efforts will be measured and reported on using standard ecommerce & retail KPIs to make go-forward recommendations.

Online Retail is the business discipline responsible for selling Marriott exclusive and complimentary products via our ecommerce websites. These sites include The Ritz-Carlton Shops ( www.ritzcarltonshops.com ), ShopMarriott ( www.shopmarriott.com ), ShopCourtyard ( www.shopcourtyard.com ), CuratedByJW ( www.curatedbyjw.com ) and Collect Renaissance ( www.collectrenaissance.com ).

The core focus areas for this role are:

1. Product Sourcing and Retail Trends

2. Marketing and Promotional Planning

3. Financial Tracking and Payment Processing

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS:

Researches new product concepts for the online retail program to extend the online assortment

· Identifies new trends in related products for all brands’ online retail program.

· Works with the brand and global sourcing teams to ensure retail is part of the process and new product makes its way online.

· Works with the in-house design team to identify and highlight new products to sell.

Works with the current team (including third party vendors) to build out promotions and assist with marketing opportunities

· Networks with internal and external departments/organizations to identify opportunities to promote online retail.

· Identifies areas of improvement in the online retail program across various campaigns and promotions.

· Assists with the Ritz-Carlton catalog production and vendor relations/setup.

· Supports ShopMarriott’s content marketing plan identifying opportunities to highlight engaging content both on-site and off-site (i.e. social channels).

Responsible for the financial tracking, daily reporting and payment processing for corporate and hotel program profits

· Calculate and submit the necessary documentation for the program’s profit sharing component with the hotels.

· Oversee the daily sales import process to ensure timely update.

· Report on sales trends and other KPIs influenced by seasonality, promotions or other factors.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Required Experience:

· 1-3 years within the retail industry

· Hands on knowledge and active usage of social media

Preferred Education:

4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, or an area related or equivalent experience in retailing, marketing or related professional area.

Preferred Experience:

· 1-3 years in retail setting/online marketing/business relations

· Direct or indirect involvement in the product sourcing cycle.

· High Degree of comfort in Excel, Word and other MS Office Suite products

· Equipped with strong presentation, verbal and written skills; attention to detail

· Be self-directed to influence and collaborate across multiple areas of the organization while creatively maximizing resource utilization

· Comfortable in a deadline-driven environment, often with changing business priorities

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Ability to work within a large corporation but with ‘start up’ like expectations and pace

· Forward thinker able to execute on strategy and provide insight based on data

· Demonstrated collaborative skills with ability to work with cross functional teams
