PrideStaff is currently seeking an electrician with a minimum of two years of experience for a manufacturing company based in Channahon, Illinois. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with a starting salary of $20-$30 per hour.

* Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment following electrical codes, manuals, schematics and other specifications using hand tools, power tools and electrical test equipment.

*Comprehend and interpret technical manuals, as well as drawings and specifications, such as layouts, blueprints, and schematics.

*Minimize line “down time” by applying accurate and effective electrical repairs to production line equipment.

*Follow pre-planned fire drills, operate fire-fighting equipment in pre-planned method and role.

*Must be able to plan, organize and carry out job duties with minimal direction and supervision.

*Cleans work area on an ‘as you go’ basis. Work area must be clean before leaving at the end of the shift.

*Perform other assignments as directed by your supervisor

*Maintain good attendance and a positive work attitude.

*Have knowledge and understanding of all safety guidelines and specific safety hazards associated with position.

*Have knowledge of and use all safety equipment required for position.

*Need basic understanding of materials used in process and how they are to be handled.

*Ability to work in a harmonious manner and interact in a cooperative way with supervision and co-workers.

*Must wear or use all required personal protective equipment.

*Read, understand and adhere to rules and guidelines stated in the Employee Handbook, as well as the CCI – Joliet Electrical Safety Program.

*Understand Quality Standards and be able to make reasonable judgments and decisions regarding quality issues.
